Omar Abbosh Named Accenture’s Chief Strategy Officer; Pierre Nanterme Comments


AccentureOmar Abbosh, senior managing director of growth and strategy for the resources operating group of Accenture (NYSE: ACN), has been appointed to serve as the company’s chief strategy officer starting March 1.

He will succeed retiring Shawn Collinson and lead Accenture’s growth and strategy organization, the company said Monday.

Abbosh will also join Accenture’s global management committee.

“He has been with Accenture for 25 years and held a variety of leadership roles serving many of our largest client relationships, ” said Pierre Nanterme, Accenture’s chairman and CEO.

Abbosh is currently responsible for driving the acquisition activities and joint ventures in the smart grid area of Accenture’s resources operating group.

“Omar brings to his new role deep strategy expertise and broad, international experience, as well as a unique understanding of industry trends and dynamics, ” Nanterme said.
