Brian Clark: NCI Targets Govt Services Market Growth with Computech Buy


acquisitionNCI (NASDAQ: NCIT) has agreed to purchase Bethesda, Maryland-based government services provider Computech for approximately $56 million in cash.

NCI said Monday it expects the transaction to close on Thursday and that it will finance the deal with cash on hand and credit facility borrowings.

“The acquisition of Computech is in line with NCI’s growth strategy, which calls for the development of new customers and service offerings both organically and through mergers and acquisitions, ” said NCI President Brian Clark.

Computech offers software applications development, system modernization, operations and maintenance, analytics, visualization and big data processing services in the federal civilian sector.

Reston, Virginia-based NCI maintains a portfolio of enterprise technology and service offerings for defense, civilian, intelligence and healthcare organizations.
