Barbara Humpton Promoted to COO at Siemens’ US Federal Org; Judy Marks Comments

Barbara Humpton, formerly senior vice president of business development for Siemens‘ U.S. federal business organization, has been promoted to the newly-created position of chief operating officer.

She will lead efforts to identify new business opportunities and land new work in the federal market for Siemens Government Technologies, Siemens said Thursday.

Judy Marks, president and CEO of SGT, said Humpton has been a key player in the business’ growth strategy since it started in 2011, when she joined the company as BD SVP.

Humpton served as a vice president at Booz Allen Hamilton (NYSE: LMT) and Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) before she joined SGT.
