Army to Supply Qatar With Raytheon’s Patriot Fire Units for $2B


Raytheon logoThe U.S. Army will provide Qatar with a set of Raytheon‘s (NYSE: RTN) Patriot fire units through the end of April 2019 under a $2.4 billion foreign military sale contract.

The Defense Department said Friday that the contract, which was awarded through the Army Contracting Command, covers 10 fire units of the Patriot missile defense system plus spares.

Raytheon will perform work at locations in Arkansas, California and Massachusetts in the U.S. and in Greece and Poland.

The obligated amount at the time of award is $1.2 billion.
