Rami Rahim Named Juniper Networks CEO

Rami Rahim, former executive vice president and general manager of Juniper Networks‘ (NYSE: JNPR) development and innovation segment,  has been promoted to CEO.

Juniper said Monday Rahim, a 17-year veteran ofthe company, will also join the board of directors.

“He is a talented leader who brings deep instincts about the networking industry, and enormous support from our employees and our customers, ” said Scott Kriens, chairman of the board at Juniper.

As GM of development and innovation,  Rahim has led the company’s efforts on research and development,  strategy and business growth focused on its routing, switching and security offerings.
