Linda Mills, Northrop Corporate VP of Operations, to Retire in January

Linda Mills, corporate vice president of operations at Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC) and a 35-year veteran of both Northrop and the former TRW, plans to retire from the company on January 3, 2015.

Northrop disclosed Mills’ pending retirement in a Securities and Exchange Commission filing released Wednesday.

The news was first reported by Jill Aitoro of the Washington Business Journal.

Mills elevated to her current position in July 2012 from a prior role as president of the information systems sector for close to four-and-a-half years.

She joined Northrop in 2002 upon its acquisition of TRW and her roles at Northrop have included corporate VP and president of the former information technology sector, president of the sector’s civilian agencies business group and VP of operations and process for the IT sector.
