A subsidiary of EMCOR Group (NYSE: EME) has been selected to monitor contractors and subcontractors of a Department of Homeland Security facility in Washington.

EMCOR Government Services booked the contract during the third quarter of its 2014 fiscal year and the company will also provide engineering services to DHS, EMCOR said Tuesday.

“EGS staff is specially trained and possesses the requisite clearances for these facilities and virtually any scope of work, ” said Mike Rodgers, president of EMCOR Government Services.

The subsidiary will be responsible for the mechanical, electrical and plumbing design review, and space planning.
