October 14 End of Day Report: GovCon Index Ticks Up

GovConIndexThe GovConIndex sat at 63.082 Tuesday afternoon — approximately 1.27 percent above Monday’s closing figure — as the three major stock indices slowly lost gains from earlier in the trading day.

Twenty-five companies in the GovConIndex were slated to close with increases from Monday’s trading day, four firms were in the negative and one was unchanged.

According to Bloomberg, investors are waiting for earnings reports from 53 companies listed on the S&P 500 composite index.

The Executive Mosaic GovConIndex is a composite index that tracks 30 of the largest publicly-traded Government Contracting (GovCon) Companies.
