Mike Denning Joins Verizon’s Enterprise Arm as Global Security VP

Mike Denning, formerly senior vice president and general manager of CA Technologies’ (NASDAQ: CA) security business unit, has joined Verizon Enterprise (NYSE: VZ) as vice president of global security.

He will be responsible for the company’s global security operations centers, cyber intelligence center, product management and development organization and security sales operations,  Verizon said Monday.

Denning previously served as VP and GM of VeriSign‘s (NASDAQ: VRSN) enterprise security services for more than 10 years and also held positions at Booz Allen Hamilton (NYSE: BAH) and MCI.

He was also a captain of field artillery at the U.S. Army.

The Trump administration has appointed Camilo Sandoval as federal chief information security officer, FedScoop reported on Wednesday. Sandoval, who assumed the role in Oct. 2020, will succeed Grant Schneider, who left the position in Aug. 2020 to join Venable  as senior director of cybersecurity services. Prior to assuming the role, Sandoval served as president and chief information officer (CIO) of MCI.
