Kent Holiday: ATK Books $204M in Military Ammo Orders During August and September


ATK logoATK (NYSE: ATK) has won contracts worth $203.7 million combined to produce nonstandard ammunition systems for the U.S. Army and foreign military partners.

The company said Monday it booked the military weapon orders during the past two months through basic ordering agreements and indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contracts.

“We are honored to support our Army customer in every facet of ammunition requirements they may have, and these significant awards will continue ATK’s legacy of commitment and performance to the U.S. Army NSA program, ” said Kent Holiday, ATK vice president and general manager for its small caliber systems business.

ATK builds ammunition, precision and strike weapons, missile technology and electronic warfare systems for military air, ground and sea operations.

The company also helps the Army run the branch’s ammunition manufacturing center in Independence, Missouri.
