Information Systems Worldwide Corp. to Research Open Source Methods for Air Force


big data2Information Systems Worldwide Corp. has won a three-year,  $9, 780, 495 contract to help the U.S. Air Force research ways to extract features from open source information available in platforms such as mobile devices and applications.

The Air Force received 38 offers for the cost-plus-fixed-fee contract and will obligate $579, 000 in fiscal year 2014 research and development funds at the time of award, the Defense Department said Monday.

ISW will also build prototypes to correlate different types of data and create discovery services for the Air Force to use information in an intelligence context, the Pentagon said.

Work will occur in Arlington, Virginia through April 5, 2017.
