HP Vet Andy McCann Joins Dell Federal Arm as Sales, Marketing Executive Director

Andy McCann, formerly a vice president for HP Enterprise Services‘ (NYSE: HPQ) U.S. public sector business, has joined the executive team at Dell‘s federal division as executive director of sales and marketing, GovCon Wire has learned.

In his most recent role at HP, McCann led a team of more than 300 professionals that delivered systems integration services, applications and business integration tools to federal agencies.

McCann also led geographic sales as a VP for the public sector business, including time when it was known as EDS, and was responsible for sales and business development functions in the federal market.

He joined EDS in 1988 and his roles since then have included a VP and general manager post,  strategic sales executive, client sales director, sales executive and senior corporate recruiter.

McCann received a Federal 100 award in 2011 and the company recognized him as its sales leader of the year in 2010.

He has also served as co-chair of HP’s global defense council.
