FCC Approves Level 3’s Buy of TW Telecom, Shareholder Votes Set for Tuesday

NGENGlobeThe Federal Communications Commission has approved Level 3 Communications‘ (NYSE: LVLT) proposed $5.3 billion acquisition of business phone and Internet service provider tw telecom (NASDAQ: TWTC).

Level 3 announced the receipt of the approval Friday and the transaction is subject to the approval of stockholders from both companies.

According to the Denver Business Journal, the stockholder vote is scheduled for Tuesday and the Justice Department cleared its regulatory review of the deal last month.
