Deb Alderson: Sotera Sells Expeditionary Systems Arm in ‘Pure Play Nat’l Security’ Push

Sotera Defense Solutions has sold its engineered solutions division, a provider of services and components for U.S. military field kitchens and sanitary equipment, to military tent supplier Outdoor Venture Corp. for an undislclosed sum.

Deb Alderson, Sotera chairman and CEO, said Oct. 22 that the sale is part of Sotera’s strategy “to become a leading pure play national security technology solutions provider focused on accelerating its growth in our customer’s critical national security, intelligence and law enforcement missions.”

The engineered solutions division is headquartered in Easton, Maryland.

“Engineered Solutions has supported the military for decades and we look forward to working together to deliver for our customers, ” said J.C. Egnew, president of OVC.

OVC was founded in 1972 and was an original supplier of air bags for cars in the U.S., that company says.
