AECOM Issues Initial Election Results on URS Merger

acquisitionURS Corp. (NYSE: URS) stockholders have completed the initial election phase for the form of merger consideration in relation to AECOM Technology‘s (NYSE: ACM) acquisition bid for URS.

Holders of nearly 35.3 percent of outstanding URS shares have chosen to receive AECOM shares and will also receive cash for their URS shares,  AECOM said Thursday.

Holders of nearly 47.8 percent of outstanding URS shares elected to receive cash and will also get fractional shares.

AECOM and URS expect to close the transaction on Friday.

Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner & Smith and Moelis & Company are AECOM’s financial advisers and Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP its legal counsel.

Citigroup Global Markets and Dean Bradley Osborne Partners LLC serve as URS’ financial advisers while Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz and Cooley LLP are its legal counsel.
