Aamir Hussain Joins CenturyLink as EVP, CTO


centurylink logoAamir Hussain, a former chief technology officer and managing director at Liberty Global, has joined CenturyLink (NYSE: CTL) as executive vice president and CTO.

He will lead work to automate many of CenturyLink’s products, focus on customer experiences and help manage company platforms and technologies, CenturyLink said Tuesday.

Hussain was based in the Netherlands in his role as managing director and CTO for Europe at Liberty Global and he is also a former senior VP and CTO for Covad Communications.

His executive career also includes technology design and leadership roles at Telus, Qwest, Samsung and Motorola.
