Richard Jacik, formerly vice president and senior account executive at CGIÂ (NYSE: GIB), has joined Acentia as senior vice president and sector executive for health, succeeding the retiring Mike Raymond.
He will report to Robert McCord, president and chief operating officer, as he manages business strategy for the health sector and the company’s contracts and business development, Acentia said Monday.
“Along with Richard’s deep knowledge of the public healthcare space, his demonstrated ability to engage with and build trusted customer relationships will play an integral role in our continued expansion into the health IT market, ” said Todd Stottlemyer, CEO.
At CGI, Jacik has worked with government agencies such as the Food and Drug Administration, Treasury Department and Department of Veterans Affairs and led the company’s healthcare interoperability and quality and process improvement practice.
He was also sponsor and head of the efforts to meet CMMI Maturity Level 5 certification.
