CAE (NYSE: CAE) will provide its Aeromedical Evacuation Training System to the U.S. Air Force Reserve Command under a new contract to support ADS as part of the Defense Logistics Agency‘s tailored logistics support program.

CAE said Monday the system includes a C-130 fuselage trainer equipped with CAE Healthcare’s iStan robotic technology, which simulates the cardiovascular, neurological and respiratory systems of potential human patients.

Gene Colabatistto, group president for defense and security at CAE, said the company expects to demonstrate training systems integration between the company’s healthcare and defense capabilities.

The system can be used on different air mobility aircraft platforms to train aeromedical evacuation crew on pre-flight and in-flight emergency and patient care procedures, CAE said.

The company stated that it will also provide courseware, curriculum and a tablet instructor/operator station as part of the package.
