Eric Wieman: STG Extends Support for State Dept Financial Mgmt Systems

STG has won a five-year, $67.3 million contract to help the U.S. State Department manage and maintain application systems for processing the agency’s financial and compensation transactions.

The contract covers support work for DoS’ Comptroller Global Financial Services and Global Financial Management Systems, STG said Wednesday.

“During the past 15 years, we have directly supported the DoS in the development and maintenance of many of the key financial, timekeeping, compensation, and ancillary systems, ” said Eric Wieman, senior vice president of STG’s systems design and development sector.

The Virginia-based government contractor will work with system owners and managers at the agency’s more than 185 embassies globally.

DoS’ financial and compensation platforms are used to manage payroll for more than 85, 000 agency staff and serviced employees, according to STG.
