LexisNexis Risk Solutions has finalized its acquisition of PoliceReports.US, in an effort to complement the eCrash tool’s work to deliver delivering vehicular accident or crash report data and analytics for law enforcement agencies.LexisNexis said Monday the acquisition will add crime reporting, report requests and ticket pay capabilities as well as distribution of accident reports and photographs to the online eCrash service.
“We are able to further expand value to police agencies delivered through our comprehensive electronic crash data management system and extend our offering through digitization and electronic collection options for public safety, ” said Bill Madison, chief executive for insurance at LexisNexis.
According to LexisNexis, PoliceReports.US will support eCrash’s free and automated reporting process, including information sharing between law enforcement agencies and analysis of crash data such as common accident locations.
PoliceReports.US is based in Mooresville, North Carolina and used in 600 agencies across 29 states.
