Bill Kasting: ATK Continues to Provide Anti-Radiation Guided Missile to Navy

ATK logoATK (NYSE: ATK) has won a $96.2 million contract to produce the third lot of advanced produce anti-radiation guided missile system for the U.S. Navy and the branch’s allies.

ATK will also kick off the third full-rate production of the captive air training missiles for the U.S. Navy and Italian Air Force, the company said Monday.

“We look forward to continuing to provide this critical weapons system on schedule and on budget to the U.S. Navy and our allies, ” said Bill Kasting, vice president and general manager of ATK’s defense electronic systems division.

The air-launched missile system applies to Destruction of Enemy Air Defense operations and works to target new surface-to-air systems.

The Navy approved the initial operational capability for AARGM in July 2012 and the full rate production in September 2012.
