Maggie Hallbach to Head Verizon’s State & Local Gov’t, Education Markets Team

Maggie Hallbach, a 17-year Verizon Enterprise Solutions (NYSE: VZ) veteran, has been promoted to a vice president position in the telecommunications company’s public sector business and will work with state, local government and education institutions.

Kevin Irland, manager of corporate communications at Verizon, said Monday that Hallbach recently led the Lean Six Sigma program to foster process improvements and business transformation across the enterprise solutions segment.

She was also head of the project and program management group that works with U.S. government and education customers.

Hallbach previously worked at MCI before Verizon acquired the company in 2006.
