Lockheed Awarded $212M to Maintain Army’s Air Defense Missiles


lockheed martinLockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) has been awarded a $212 million contract to support the U.S. Army aviation and missile command’s air defense missile systems.

Lockheed will provide maintenance and surveillance services for the Patriot Advanced Capability-3 out of its facilities across the U.S., the company said Monday.

Lockheed will deliver similar services to international PAC-3 clients from its missile support center.

The company holds contracts with the U.S., the Netherlands, Germany, Japan, the United Arab Emirates and Taiwan for the missile system.

PAC-3 is designed to counter tactical ballistic and cruise missiles, as well as fixed- and rotary-wing aircraft.
