Level 3 Communications (NYSE: LVLT) will expand its senior management team upon the closing of its acquisition deal with tw telecom.
Jeff Storey, Level 3 president and CEO, said Tuesday the expanded leadership team will be made-up of executives who will aim to help the combined business grow in the enterprise communications market.
John Blount, currently president and chief operating officer of tw telecom, will join Level 3 as the company’s regional president for North America and the Asia Pacific.
He will succeed Andrew Crouch, who will serve as president of Level 3’s global accounts management division and business in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Harold Teets, a 35-year industry veteran and tw telecom senior vice president for information and network technologies, will hold the chief information role at Level 3.
Level 3 expects to finalize its tw telecom purchase in the fourth quarter of this year.
