HP Awarded Air Force Computer, Workstation Supply Deal; John Solomon Comments


HP logoHewlett-Packard (NYSE: HPQ) has been selected to supply desktop computers and workstations to the U.S. Air Force under a Quantum Enterprise Buy procurement agreement.

The Air Force will distribute the HP business desktop, notebook PCs and the ZBook mobile workstations to the branch’s bases and facilities worldwide, HP said Wednesday.

John Solomon, senior vice president of printing and personal systems and managing director of the Americas at HP, said the company has been delivering client, computing and server technologies to the Air Force and Defense Department as their requirements change.

“HP has supported the Air Force’s worldwide enterprise computing needs for several decades, ” added Solomon.

The Air Force will have access to the Compaq Pro 6305 SFF, Z230 Workstation, Z820 Workstation, ProBook 640 G1 and the ZBook mobile workstations through the agreement.
