Francois Boulanger, senior vice president and corporate controller atÂ CGI GroupÂ (NYSE: GIB), has been promoted toÂ the roles of executive VP and chief financial officer at the Montreal-based technology services provider.
Boulanger will assume the position on Oct. 1 and succeed the retiring David Anderson, who will continueÂ on in an advisory role until January 2015, CGI said Wednesday.
BoulangerÂ will report to Michael Roach, president and CEO, as member of the CGI executive team.
“As a leader, Davidâs lasting contributions go well beyond the financial organization into all areas of our business operations and culture, â said Roach.
Boulanger, a 25-year veteran in the technology and services industry, joined CGI in 1998 and was appointed as corporate controller in 2006 after holdingÂ various senior finance roles.
