David Eveleigh to Join Serco as General Counsel, Company Secretary; Rupert Soames Comments

Serco Logo_ExecutiveBizDavid Eveleigh, general counsel of BT Global Services, will join Serco as group general counsel, company secretary and member of the group executive committee effective November 17.

Serco said Friday Eveleigh will oversee the group’s legal affairs and replace John Hickey as company secretary following the latter’s appointment to another role.

“David Eveleigh is a highly accomplished general counsel with extensive experience in multinational organisations, ” said Rupert Soames, Serco’s group chief executive officer.

“His appointment marks an important milestone in our corporate renewal programme.”

Eveleigh is a member of BT Group’s legal leadership team and has previously served as general counsel for the company’s operations in the U.S., Canada and Latin America.
