Systems Made Simple to Develop Veterans Affairs Web Services; Al Nardslico Comments

Systems Made SimpleSystems Made Simple will work to develop and deliver a web services architecture for the Department of Veterans Affairs’ applications.

The project is intended to build on Systems Made Simple’s work under the previous Benefits Gateway Services Systems Engineering and Software Development contract, the company said Tuesday.

“The VA continues to make solid progress in reducing the time it takes for veterans to receive disability claims through investments in programs like BGS, and we are excited to play a role in these efforts, ” said Al Nardslico, president and chairman of Systems Made Simple.

The company built the BGS under the Veterans Service Network contract to help veterans file their disability claims.

“The forthcoming opportunities will enable our team to focus on the development of a responsive architecture which facilitates enhanced security, scalability, mobility and broader access to a wider variety of down-stream applications, all which support our veterans, their families and their caregivers, ” said Tony Vallin, a deputy director at Systems Made Simple.
