Steven Hile, formerly chief financial and chief operating officer at energy services provider EnergX, has joined Sterling Global Operations as CFO.
The company said Friday that Hile brings both commercial business and government market experience to SGO as the company seeks to grow its footprint in regions such as Africa and the Middle East.
Alan Weakley, SGO president and chief operating officer, said Hile joins the company as it pushes for “expansion into support of the international oil and natural gas industry, extractives and mining operations, and other new lines of business.”
Weakley added that the company appointed Hile to help manage SGO’s more than 3, 500 employees worldwide.
Hile also served as an executive vice president at EnergX in addition to his CFO and COO roles there and is also a former finance VP and CFO at Siemens.
Other leadership roles have included director of finance, regulatory and site development for mobile network operator Powertel.
