Bob Laclede, formerly director of public sector sales and marketing at Avnet Technology Solutions, has joined immixGroup Inc. as vice president for channels.He will be responsible for developing and implementing public sector channel strategies that are intended to drive revenue growth for the company and its information technology business clients, immixGroup said Tuesday.
The 25-year IT veteran will also oversee a partner alliances ecosystem that is comprised of government resellers, solution providers, systems integrators and value-added resellers in his new position.
“He has the industry experience and proven track record we need to expand upon our recent success in this area and introduce new programs to help our vendor clients and solution provider partners grow their public sector business, ” said Art Richer, immixGroup president and CEO.
He previously served as vice president and general manager of Ingram Micro‘s government and education sales division, which generated annual sales of more than $2.6 billion during his 10-year tenure.
Laclede helped spearhead healthcare programs at ChannelLine and held sales leadership positions at Decision Support Systems, Dot Hill Systems Corp. and Tandem Computers.
Before joining the private sector, he served in the U.S. Naval Supply Corps as lieutenant commander.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Tulane University and a master’s degree in computer systems from the Naval Postgraduate School.
