NIH Issues RFP for $20B Health, Life Sciences IT Products Contract


National Institutes of HealthThe National Institutes of Health has issued a request for proposals on a 10-year, $20 billion governmentwide contract for information technology products and services in health and life sciences, FCW reported Thursday.

Jonathan Lutton writes the CIO – Commodities and Solutions acquisition contract will replace the Electronics Commodities Store III contract and includes information management, operational and administrative services.

NIH will accept responses to the RFP through June 11.

Two years ago, an NIH office awarded another potential 10-year, $20 billion contract for IT services across the government in areas such as cloud computing and cybersecurity.
