Jay Tibbets: ATK to Supply Army With Sniper Rifle Ammo

JayTibbetsATKATK (NYSE: ATK) has won a five-year indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract worth up to $20 million to provide the U.S. Army with .300 Winchester Magnum ammunition for the M2010 sniper rifle.

The company said Monday it will produce Mk248 Mod 0, 190-grain and Mk248 Mod 1, 220-grain rifle ammunition as part of the delivery order from the U.S. Army Contracting Command – Rock Island.

“We are proud the U.S. Army has selected our 300 Win Mag ammunition, ” said Jay Tibbets, ATK’s Sporting Group president.

“These products are highly engineered and manufactured with stringent quality assurance processes to ensure optimum performance, ” he added.

ATK will manufacture the ammunition at its Federal Premium Ammunition facility in Anoka,  Minnesota.
