DHS Increases Number of EAGLE II Category 1 Awardees to 68


ContractThe Department of Homeland Security has issued a new round of awards under a seven-year, $22 billion contract vehicle for technology services to support DHS’ business and mission functions, Homeland Security Today reported Tuesday.

Anthony Kimery writes that DHS has increased to 68 the number of companies that will compete under functional category one of the Enterprise Acquisition Gateway for Leading Edge Solutions II program.

DHS previously selected 15 prime contractors for the unrestricted portion of category one, 12 teams led by small businesses for the category’s small business track and seven companies to lead teams for the category’s HUBZone small business track.

The department had evaluated 639 proposals and awarded 95 positions under EAGLE II as of December, according to the HS Today report.
