Mauro Moretti, formerly CEO of Italian railway company Ferrovie dello Stato, has been appointed chief executive of aerospace and defense conglomerate Finmeccanica, Defense News reported Monday.
Tom Kington writes the move comes as Italy’s government reshuffles management of large state-controlled companies under a directive from Prime Minister Matteo Renzi.
Moretti is an electrical engineering graduate from the Bologna University and started his career at Ferrovie dello Stato in 1977.
