Paul Appleby, Bill Berutti, Robin Purohit Head to BMC Exec Team

BMC-Software-LogoTechnology industry veterans Paul Appleby,  Bill Berutti and Robin Purohit have joined BMC Software (Nasdaq: BMC), as the company pushes its “The New IT” digital services vision and strategy.

BMC said Monday that all three appointees will report directly to Bob Beauchamp, the company’s chairman and CEO.

Appleby, formerly executive vice president of global enterprise sales at Salesforce.com, will serve as BMC’s EVP of worldwide sales and marketing.

Berutti, most recently EVP at PTC,  joins BMC as president of the performance and availability product line group.

Purohit, a 25-year information technology management veteran and former Clustrix CEO, has been named president of BMC’s service support product line group.

BMC appointed the executives to help a role in the company’s initiatives for “The New IT, ” which is centered on mobile devices, social media and cloud computing.
