Duncan Groves, formerly a public sector tax chief at Baker Tilly, has joined Grant Thornton UK as employer solutions director and will focus on delivering the company’s audit and advisory offerings to public sector entities.
Groves will join Grant Thornton’s audit and assurance teams along with other hired specialists in public sector value-added tax, the company said Monday.
Clive Fathers, tax partner and employer solutions head, said the firm’s hiring of Groves and other public sector tax professionals is part of its three-year growth plan for the business.
