CS3 Jumps from Sub to Prime on New Task Order to Provide Security Services to US Navy Facilities in Japan

cs3-SecurityChenega Security & Support Solutions, LLC (CS3) has transitioned from serving as a subcontractor providing security services for the Naval Facilities Engineering Command in Japan to prime contractor for those services after awarded the lead position on a new task order.

Ashburn, Va.-based CS3 had previously provided continuous security services and access control at the “intermediate level” maintenance facility at the Japan Maritime Self Defense Force base in Maizuru, and alarm monitoring and dispatching services at a U.S. Naval Air Facility in Atsugi, as a subcontractor.

The new task order with the Naval Facilities Engineering Command has a three-year term and was competitively awarded through SeaPort-e, which CS3 notes is the Navy’s “electronic platform for acquiring support services.”

CS3 is a wholly owned subsidiary of Chenega Corp., an Alaska Native Village Corporation, and operates within Chenega’s Security Strategic Business Unit.

Since its founding in 2011, CS3 has provided security services for assets of the U.S. and certain allies’ ballistic missile defense systems, including at remote and “geographically dispersed” locations in the Pacific region.

CS3 said it provides “highly specialized” security personnel for its continuous protective services that they immerse in their communities and that undergo basic language and cultural training.
