Bill Toti: Navy, HP Target December Finish for NGEN Transition

Naval Enterprise NetworksThe U.S. Navy and a Hewlett-Packard-led (NYSE: HPQ) contractor team have set a new timeline to transition from the Navy-Marine Corps Intranet to the Next Generation Enterprise Network, FCW reported Friday.

Bill Toti, vice president of HP’s Navy and Marine Corps accounts and Capt. Michael Abreu, the Navy’s NGEN contract manager, both said the NGEN transition is scheduled to finish in September.

The Navy and HP shortened the original 400-day transition period by 88 days.
