SecureAlert Agrees to Buy Monitoring Tech Maker GPS Global; Guy Dubois Comments

acquisitionSecureAlert has moved to grow its electronic monitoring business by striking a deal to acquire GPS Global Tracking & Surveillance System Ltd. for an undisclosed sum.

The purchase is intended to add surveillance technology and service offerings for personal, vehicle, and facility usage to SecureAlert’s portfolio, SecureAlert said Tuesday.

SecureAlert expects to close the transaction next month.

“GPS Global brings considerable and immediate value to SecureAlert by virtue of its seasoned management team, Israel-based research and development capabilities and extensive business connections across many international markets, ” said Guy Dubois, SecureAlert chairman.

GPS Global builds technology and software for location, tracking, monitoring and surveillance tools used in the global monitoring industry.
