National Technical Systems Buys Wyle Laboratories’ Testing Business; William McGinnis Comments

acquisitionNational Technical Systems Inc. (NASDAQ: NTSC) has bought Wyle Laboratories’ testing business for an undisclosed amount, AL.com reported Wednesday.

Lucy Berry writes NTS intends to build nuclear and space testing systems with Wyle Laboratories’ three acquired facilities in Huntsville, Ala., El Segundo, Calif., and San Bernardino, Calif.

William McGinnis, NTS President and CEO, said the company intends for the acquisition to fulfill customer requirements, according to the report.

“Add-on acquisitions have always been an integral component of our strategy, ” said McGinnis.

California-based NTS provides environmental testing for the aerospace, defense, nuclear and voting systems industries and runs a national network of more than 25 labs, the report says.
