Laurent Maury Named Thales Info Systems, Cyber VP


Thales logoLaurent Maury, formerly vice president of Thales‘s customer service and support business line, has been appointed VP of the company’s new critical information systems and cybersecurity segment.

The new business line generates $689 million in revenues and operates within Thales’s secure communications and information systems global business unit, Thales said Thursday.

Thales formed the business segment as part of efforts to grow its presence in the critical information management and cybersecurity markets.

Maury had previously served as VP of Thales’s critical information systems business since December 2005.

He joined Thales in 2001 as director of intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance business within Thales’s Defense & Security C4I Systems organization before his appointment in 2005 as customer service lead of that business line in France.

Maury started as an engineer of Dassault Electronique’s radio frequency laboratory in 1987 and later served as a systems bid manager of the firm’s space and electronic warefare division before taking the role of export marketing and sales deputy director of that division.

He also served as director of strategy and development of Sextant Avionique’s trainer and fighter aircraft business in 1998.
