ATA Wins $60M Deal to Support Air Force Research Lab; Dan Gillings Comments

Air Force Research LabApplied Technology Associates has secured a $60 million contract from the spacecraft technology division of the Air Force Research Laboratory‘s Space Vehicles Directorate to support the preparation of its spacecraft technologies for defensive space control,  responsive space and other missions.

The indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract involves research, engineering and subsystem development and experimentation activities, from discovery until transition of the technologies, ATA said Thursday.

“This is an exciting contract for ATA, allowing our company to continue serving AFRL in research and development efforts that are important to the Air Force’s Space Missions, ” said Dan Gillings, ATA’s president.

Work under the agreement will be done at Kirtland Air Force Base and Albuquerque, N.M.,  for completion by March 20, 2019.
