Lockheed will also provide 13 corresponding sets of on-board spares for the AN/TPQ-53 radars to the Army, the Defense Department said Thursday.
Lockheed built the Q-53 to defend against adversarial mortars and rockets by detecting, classifying, tracking and determining locations of indirect fire in either 360- or 90-degree modes.
Work will occur in Liverpool, N.Y. through Nov. 30, 2016.
