Acentia has moved to grow its healthcare information technology market footprint by purchasing IT services contractor Business Computer Applications for an undisclosed amount.
Atlanta-based BCA has more than 30 employees that work in Atlanta and in Hyattsville, Md., Acentia said Monday.
Todd Stottlemyer, Acentia CEO, said his company will hold a position on the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention‘s CIMS contract vehicle as a result of the transaction and will compete for full-and-open work on that vehicle.
BCA’s federal healthcare clients include CDC, the National Institutes of Health and the Health Resources & Services Agency.
Acentia also works with CDC and NIH, as well as the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, Food and Drug Administration and Defense Health Agency.
