Jim Myers: Northrop to Help US-CERT ID Cyber Threats Under $350M IDIQ

northrop Grumman_BLUENorthrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC) has won a potential five-year, $350 million contract to help a Department of Homeland Security organization identify and mitigate potential vulnerabilities in the nation’s cyber infrastructure.

The company will provide operational cybersecurity services to DHS’ U.S. Computer Emergency Readiness Team under the single-award, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract, Northrop said Monday.

Jim Myers, Northrop vice president and general manager of cyber solutions, said the company will work with the U.S. government to help identify cyber threats and manage responses.

US-CERT was formed to disseminate computer security alerts and exchange threat data with public and private sector partners worldwide.
