Triple Canopy has established an employee-owned company through a new employee benefit structure.

The company forged an employee stock ownership plan for employees to obtain shares in the company, Triple Canopy said Friday.

Ignacio Balderas, Triple Canopy CEO, said the company intends to expand its employee base and retain skills through the new ownership structure.

Triple Canopy is a veteran-owned company with former military members representing more than 80 percent of its workforce.
