Deloitte Forms New Healthcare Analytics Business Unit; Brett Davis Comments

deloitteDeloitte Consulting LLP has formed a new data analytics business unit with an investment of between $150 million and $200 million in life sciences and healthcare analytics.

The ConvergeHEALTH business is organized to integrate consulting into analytics, data, services and operating models, Deloitte said Thursday.

Brett Davis, a Deloitte Consulting principal and general manager of ConvergeHEALTH, said the new business unit aims to deliver technologies that consolidate strategy and services into healthcare analytics through collaboration with partners.

Deloitte has partnered with Intermountain Healthcare to leverage the technologies and products of ConvergeHEALTH.

The business unit will develop clinical and operational analytics services for health systems to manage variation and patient safety.

ConvergeHEALTH will also provide care services for managing clinical outcomes, reducing risks, coordinating care and implementing evidence-based guidelines, as well as research services for genomic medicine and disease surveillance programs.
