Chip Mitchell: Jacobs Targets Oil, Gas Sector Growth Through Eagleton Engineering Buy

JACOBS logo_GovConWire Jacobs Engineering Group has moved to bolster its engineering, design and field surveying offerings by acquiring Eagleton Engineering LLC for an undisclosed amount.

Houston-based Eagleton was founded in 1965 and offers professional services to the energy and petrochemical sectors, Jacobs announced Tuesday.

Chip Mitchell, a Jacobs group vice president, said the company aims to drive growth in its oil and gas business lines through the transaction.

Eagleton performs work across the project planning and delivery phases, ranging from conceptual studies and design to procurement.
