SAE International has acquired the assets of ARINC’s industry activities division for an undisclosed sum as SAE seeks to help fulfill aerospace industry demands through technical standards.
The division will operate within the SAE Industry Technologies Consortia and focus on developing industry infrastructures for the technology, market and industry member groups, SAE International said Monday.
David Schutt, CEO of SAE, said the company intends to grow its technical services for the aerospace industry through the transaction.
SAE ITC Aviation Industry Activities will be responsible for establishing technical standards and coordinating the Airlines Electronic Engineering Committee, Avionics Maintenance Conference and Flight Simulator Engineering and Maintenance Conference activities.
The AEEC, AMC and FSEMC work to initiate dialogue and develop common technical standards and shared technical services for the airlines industry.
