Rebecca Garcia Named Camber Corp. Business Development VP

rebecca-garciaRebecca Garcia, who most recently served as director of SAS Federal‘s national security group, has been appointed vice president of business development at Camber Corp., GovCon Wire has learned.

At SAS, Garcia was responsible for the company’s delivery of analytic offerings to the intelligence community and a number of law enforcement agencies.

When she spoke to our sister site ExecutiveBiz this summer, she explained some of the projects underway at SAS.

“For us, analytics is so much more than search, we apply the same type of analytics that allows three out of four the major credit card companies to make decisions on credit cards, ” she said.

“We also look at Social Media Analytics and the kind of threat that can be uncovered through this amazing open source intelligence data, ” she added.

camberPrior to SAS, Garcia was director of business development for Boeing and focused on developing a business plan for selling cyber offerings to federal customers.

She also served as a director of BD at Northrop Grumman Mission Systems organization within the information systems sector.

“The organizations I managed at those companies (Boeing and Northrop) were much larger, so it gave me insights into what I need to put in place as we grow the organization, ” she told ExecutiveBiz.

Garcia has also held leadership roles at L-3 Communications,  Titan Corporation, Keane Federal, Sybase and the National Security Agency.
